Glashüsli

Creating this website was a fully-fledged family effort. Together with my mom, I developed this website for her glassblowing workshop. The site is based on the Kirby CMS, which is quite adaptable and customisable in the backend making it the perfect candidate to help overcome the barrier of entry my mother is no doubt going to experience. The website itself features bold, playful elements inviting the visitor to virtually explore the Glashüsli. But most importantly it features a lot of images displaying the workshop as well as the work produced in the Glashüsli.

This website was yet another great learning opportunity for me. Developing it from scratch whilst building on top of my past experience and ready-to-use elements from other web projects. My focus early on was to create a more adaptable website based on an easy box system in a few different sizes which can be easily combined and swapped around. This made for an incredibly easy raw build of the website and I could present a prototype within days of starting the project. I then had to convince my mom that feedback, even if critical or negative, is what I needed and eventually we worked quite well together. She drew the banner images, gave input on the screen design she didn't quite like and we made the website truly hers. It represents her and her ideas as a creative.
